The international branding challenge

An impromptu meeting spurred by family needs will probably change the course of events for the months to come. Many crucial business matters are sometimes defined at the kitchen table during unexpected events that occur at the right moment in the right place. This is what happened to me today. I was planning to have a day with my family when my business associate Daniele Bogiatto called asking for assistance for his kids who have been coughing for a few days now, after their arrival in Florida.

So I volunteered to get some natural healing products at a local store and deliver them to Daniele’s house, about 20 miles away from my place. When I arrived in the late afternoon, we set down at the table in the kitchen with Daniele and his wife Jenny and began chatting about their experiences in the US after they arrived from Italy one week ago and we pretty soon ended up talking about Daniele’s new blog and the extensive research and development efforts that has been put into its development during the last 3 months, involving many people.

This blog is intended to be the end all in personal branding and sum up all the know how developed by Daniele in the last decade while assisting scores of businesses to develop their business presence on the Web in Europe. I was fascinated with all the research that went into it and I can’t wait to adopt the same approach for my own blog. It’s going to be a groundbreaking experience.

But most important of all, the free discussion we had at the kitchen table while looking at the screen of Daniele’s PC, allowed us to discuss how to evolve the project into something that can be used to jump start the Web presence of any business or any individual in the US.

I have put all my 30 years of editorial experience in play this afternoon and we have started to figure out all the possible ramifications of it and I believe that we have reached much deeper and far fetching results than we could have possibly accomplished in a formal business meeting.

I left Daniele’s house in New Port Richey and drove back on my new motorcycle towards Clearwater on US 19 knowing very well we have laid the cornerstone of a new system that will give many people in the US a “fast track to personal success on the Web”.

We know there is too much information our there, and lot of it is irrelevant or obsolete at best, if not outright misleading. The main challenge that any entrepreneur, artist, politician and private individual faces when confronting Web marketing and promotion is understanding what is really important and how to use it without becoming a geek or spending long hours in front of a computer screen.

There is a very precise path that allows this and that has been very successfully pioneered by Daniele and his team in Europe, but has been so far available to a limited number of businesses at a very high cost. I understand that I can contribute in making it very affordable and completely available in the US to anyone wishing to make a difference for himself.

Anyone can become a Web star is she knows the rules of the game and wants to devote the right amount of time to mastering them. It will be an amazing experience being part of this web re-evolution.

Very interesting conversation with Daniele. First I hope the children are better. Second, congrats on the new bike. Third, the careful thought you have given to the idea of providing an environment for practically any business to have a dynamic web presence is good. But the fact that you and Daniele have conceived this idea with greatest benefit being the focus on others is the true treasure of the concepts future success.
