One of the working strategies for dealing with REO (Real Estate Owned) properties is to buy low from the bank and the rent to Section 8 tenant, taking the benefit of a steady stream of income which is guaranteed by the government. Bank owned properties are often very affordable, allowing for a positive cash flow immediately, and can be located anywhere in the nation, therefore an investor can find those areas that are most suitable for Section 8 programs and buy there.
